We at Isilon love the approach! To set the record straight, Sony is not fronting Isilon with their equipment. I spoke with Sony and they are only fronting NetApp filers across a WAN. No spin here - we were not interviewed for this particular article by Mellor - we do genuinely think they're doing some cool stuff, but do not believe that we need their gear to accelerator our cluster.
